四、重在考查基本语法点，杜绝偏难怪题
近两年的单选所选语法考点趋向一致，即：基于书本上的基本知识点。我们所见到的各种刁钻语法一个也没有。这就是很多学生走下考场发出感叹，这似乎不是江苏命题风格。笔者认为这正是江苏英语卷回归理性的难能可贵的一步。
五、重视模块1-11中的习语和谚语的整理
今年考查了模块11中的习语，去年考查了模块1的习语。这也是给我们透露：重视课本习语。
六、词汇的考查灵活，更具生活化。
在我们词汇学习中，已经形成了一个术语：熟词生义。笔者认为，这不是太准确的说法。譬如今年的recipe，去年的develop，前年的recover，考查的都是其引申意义，而引申意义又是英美作品中很常见的用法。（毕竟近两年的单选句子都是选自各种外刊杂志中）
以上五点对我们有何启发：
（1）对于学生来说，重视课标词汇的识记，最好结合词块记。笔者认为，单纯的识记弊端不少，尤其在阅读理解中，往往陷入知道单词意思，却在句子理解上纠结。最好的办法是在做完套卷后，将试卷中的词块认真摘录，尤其是阅读完形。
（2）对于教师来说，应该一方面对课标词汇逐个清理，另一方面，设计的练习中的句子要符合四个标准：地道、语境、积极、预制词块。最起码要符合地道、语境两个底线。另外，如果可能，可以结合时政热点进行造句。
下面是我去年的评价，读者也可以参考一下，基本今年也是一脉相承。
今年的单选考查难度明显低于前两年，没有考查语法和词汇的生僻用法，没有从文学作品中节选句子，而是突出最基本的词块应用，例如count on, develop，而且用到了模块一Unit2中的习语，让学生觉得亲切。在高三一轮复习时建议：全面把握语法考点（共100个）；对自己语法的盲区一定要扫清（命题人对你的薄弱点是了如指掌的）；不要在语法上花太多的时间。
具体考察分析如下：
（1）考察影响全句和重要语义关系的结构
eg. 名词性从句、定语从句
（2）考察涉及基本语法概念的知识
eg. 谓语vs非谓语；动词时态；
（3）我们平时做题注意必要和适度的覆盖面
- 避免同一试卷中的重复
- 减少与近年试卷的重复
（换言之，应注意过去几年出现较少但属于基本和重要的知识点）
（4）采用一定的难度调节策略
- 叠加语言知识点（eg. V-ing 被动态/独立主格结构；情态词完成式等）
- 增加语境复杂度
